TouchPoint Support Services is deeply rooted in the steadfast commitment to provide compassion at every point of human contact. Along with Ascension, we believe a Socially Just Minimum Wage acknowledges human dignity and the spiritual significance of the care our associates offer to those we serve. In light of this, since our founding we’ve updated our minimum wage annually to reflect changes in the cost of living.
TouchPoint Support Services, together with the Ministries of Ascension, are increasing the minimum wage to $11.00 per hour, beginning with the July 5, 2015 pay period. We do so in the hope that associates who receive an increase are able to improve the standard of living for themselves and their families. Students, interns and associates covered under a collective bargaining agreement are not subject to the Socially Just Minimum Wage increase at this time.
We are excited to join Ascension in taking this important step. It reflects our commitment to giving our associates competitive compensation and benefit programs, while being good stewards of our resources. With this balance, we can continue to serve all persons with expertise and compassion at every point of human contact.
